Windows Password Recovery, a professional app, can help you reset your forgotten Windows administrator/user password with a bootable CD/DVD or USB flash drive in a secure and easy way. Here is a quick guide about how to apply Windows Password Recovery to reset Windows account passwords.
Double-click the downloaded Windows Password Recovery software and tap on Next button in the popup window to continue the setup. Choose the location where you want to install the app, then click on Install button to begin installation.
Step 1: Launch the software after it is installed successfully. On the opening interface, choose a media type: USB device or CD/DVD to create a bootable device. Here we take USB flash drive as an example. Click on USB device button to continue.
Step 2: Insert the USB flash drive to the computer, you can see it right away in the drop-down box, an then click on Begin burning button. You will receive a popup dialog which alerts it will format the USB flash drive if continue, and select Yes to proceed.
Step 3: A few seconds later, you will see a Burning successfully prompt dialog pops up. A password reset device has been created successfully!
Step 1: Connect the password reset device to the password locked computer, start/restart the computer and press BOOT Menu Key (usually F12) repeatedly to bring up the Boot Menu. Choose the USB flash drive to boot the computer, usually the last one at the column as the picture shown below.
Step 2: Select the password forgotten user/administrator account on the list box, and click on Reset Password button. Then the original password will be removed and you can reset a new password to it.
Tips: If your Windows OS is Windows Server 2003/2008/2012/2016, Windows Password Recovery software will create a default password and set it to the select user.
In addition, you can click Add User button to add an account for logging into Windows. And then click on Reboot button to restart the computer.
