How to Check Your Motherboard Model in Windows 10/8/7

Sometimes you might need to figure out what motherboard you have in your computer. Of course, it can be as simple as opening the case, because every motherboard has its model name and number printed on it. However, it is not such convenient and straightforward as you think. 1. Check motherboard model by CMD

The first way to find out what motherboard you have is Command Prompt. Command Prompt (CMD) is a native application of the Windows and gives the user an option to perform operations using commands. You can type some commands in it to check motherboard model of your laptop or desktop. Here are detailed steps.

Step 1: Press Windows key + R shortcut to open a Run box. Then type cmd and hit Enter.

System Information is a Windows built-in tool that reports detailed system information including the motherboard model. Follow the steps below.

Step 1: Press Windows Key + R to open a run window. Then type msinfo32 and press Enter.

Step 2: A window named System Information popups, here you will see the system information and find out the model of motherboard in your pc.

3. Check motherboard model by DirectX
