The DNS server isn't responding - try many ways and finally solved with the easiest way

Today, I had a problem with my computer: network not working.

At first, I connected to wifi, but I couldn't access the internet, then I connected back to the wired network. The wired network connection icon indicates that it is OK, the FTP software works, used ping command to ping gateway IP is OK, and online neighbors are also available, but the internet is not working. The Network Diagnostics result is "The DNS server isn't responding".

the dns server is not responding

I've been trying a lot:

1. Tried run->cmd.exe -> ipconfig /flushdns, failed.

2. Tried to set static IP and DNS, failed too.

3. Tried to disable/Enable local network, failed too.

4. Tried cmd.exe -> netsh winsock reset, then restarted the computer, failed too.

5. Tried RUN->services. msc, then restarted the DNS client, failed too.

6. Tried to restart the computer, but the wireless network automatically connected to the wifi that was not working, disconnected the wifi from the wired network, and still couldn't connect to internet.

Here's the answer: I turned off the wifi connection and restarted my computer, and I it was OK finally.

Point: The quickest, most efficient and simple solution is to restart your computer. Yes, restart computer can solved many problems easily.

I have used many laptops without this problem. But with my current computer, Thinkpad w541, I've had this problem many times. Previously, disable/enable local networks solved it. But this time it doesn't work. I suspect it's a bug in the Network adapters or driver, but I updated the driver and it didn't fix it.
