Quick Fix: No Valid Sources Are Available For This Video Error on Chrome

Streaming videos on the browser is now a common choice for many users. Without having to wait for a video fully load, watching videos online gets free of much buffering. However, this can be influenced by multiple factors such as the version of the browser, the speed of the internet and etc. Sometimes, you may be unable to play videos on your browser and run into the error message "No valid sources are available for this video". So, what to do if you encounter error loading player message? In this post, we will provide some simple solutions for you.

1. Restart Chrome process

Step 1: Press Ctrl+Shift+Esc to open Task Manager.

Step 2: Select Processes tab, locate Google Chrome and click on it. Then click End task.

Step 3: Launch Chrome again.

2. Clear the browsing data

Step 1: Click on the three vertical dots at the top-right corner of the browser and select More tools>Clear browsing data.

Step 2: In the next window, choose Basic tab and select a time range. Then check all the boxes of browsing caches and click Clear data.

3. Update Chrome

Step 1: Click on the vertical ellipsis at the top right corner in Chrome and select Settings.

Step 2: Click on the three parallels to expand Settings menu. Then Select About Chrome.

Step 3: There would be a notification to update if your browser is not updated to the latest version.

Step 4: Relaunch Chrome and you will see Chrome is up to date.

4. Reset Chrome

Step 1: Open Chrome Settings.

Step 2: Expand Settings menu and select Reset and clean up.

Step 3: In the right pane, click Restore settings to their original defaults.

Step 4: Click on Reset settings in the pop-up window.

5. Remove recently added extensions

Step 1: Click on the extension icon next to the address bar and select Manage extensions.

Step 2: In the extension page, turn off the toggle to disable an extension or click Remove to delete it.

6. Switch to another browser

If you tried all the methods above but the error message in the video stills exists, using anther browser may solve your problem.

There are a lot of browsers available and you can switch between different browsers to check if the error only appears in Chrome. If it does, change the default browser.
